This page explains how you can request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data from the Prabhupada Legacy Academy platform (website and mobile app).

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1 — Self-Service (Instant, Recommended)
  1. Log in to your account at prabhupadalegacy.org/Academy or open the mobile app.
  2. Go to My Profile (accessible from the sidebar/menu).
  3. Scroll to the "Delete Account" section at the bottom of the page.
  4. Click "Delete My Account" and confirm the action in the dialogue.
  5. Your account and personal data will be permanently deleted immediately.
Option 2 — Email Request

If you no longer have access to your account, send a deletion request to:

info@prabhupadalegacy.org

Subject: Account Deletion Request
Include: Your registered email address and full name.
We will process your request within 7 business days and send a confirmation email.

What Data Is Deleted

Upon account deletion, the following personal data is permanently and irreversibly deleted:

  • Full name, email address, phone number, and profile photo
  • Biography, website, and social media links
  • All private messages and message threads
  • Wishlist items and saved content
  • Course reviews and ratings submitted by you
  • Quiz attempts and submission records
  • Community posts, comments, and likes
  • Blog comments and likes
  • Watch history and course progress
  • Notifications and device tokens

What Data Is Retained & Why

Some data may be retained for a limited period to comply with legal and financial obligations:

Data Type Retention Period Reason
Payment & transaction records 7 years Tax and financial compliance (GST / Indian accounting law)
Course purchase history 7 years Legal compliance; proof of service delivery
Issued certificates Indefinitely (anonymised) Verifiability of completed achievements
Fraud / abuse logs Up to 1 year Platform security and fraud prevention

All retained records are dissociated from your identity wherever possible. After the retention period, they are permanently deleted.
